How do you install Microsoft 365 on your HP Stream?

An HP includes a one-year Microsoft 365 license by default. That means you can make reports, prepare presentations, or do the bookkeeping with Microsoft 365 programs all year long, for free. On this page, we'll tell you how to activate your free 365 license in 3 steps.

Install Microsoft 365 in 3 steps

When you first set up the Stream, you'll be asked if you already want to activate Office 385. If you want to, simply follow the instructions on your screen. If you prefer to do it when everything is set up, follow the steps below. In short:

  • Connect to the internet.
  • Create a Microsoft account.
  • Install.

Step 1: connect to the internet

The first step to install Microsoft 365 is to connect to a network. Connect the Stream to WiFi or connect it in a different way. In Windows 10, search for 'Microsoft Office 365' via the magnifying glass in the taskbar and open it. You have to log in with your Microsoft account. If you don't have an account yet, go to step 2. If you already have an account, go to step 3.

Step 2: create a Microsoft account

Go to to create an account. You need to do this to activate your Microsoft 365 license. Follow the steps on your screen and verify your new account. If this is successful, go to step 3.

Step 3: install

Log in with your Microsoft account.

Log in with your Windows account, select the correct language and country, and continue. Select 'Install'. If you get a pop-up about an installation process, select 'Run'. Click 'Next' to continue and follow the instructions on the screen. Your install is finished when it says 'You're all set!'. Select 'Close' to end the process. Microsoft 365 is ready for use and you're ready to get started.
