Product Expert soundbars

You can use the Samsung HW-MS550 to listen to a movie soundtrack as well as to your own music. Simply use WiFi or Bluetooth to connect a smartphone, tablet, or laptop to this soundbar and you'll be able to stream songs you've saved or playlists from streaming services to the integrated speakers wirelessly. If you own Samsung multi-room speakers, you can use WiFi to link them to the soundbar, allowing you to control all devices with just 1 app. The soundbar's design features 6 built-in tweeters, with the wide-range tweeter ensuring wide audio dispersion. This means you won't have to sit right in front of the soundbar to enjoy its clear sound reproduction.

Connecting the Samsung HW-MS550 to your TV
Use the included optical or HDMI cable to connect your soundbar to your television. Keep in mind that your TV needs an optical connector to use the soundbar. We recommend HDMI arc cable.

  • Pros:
    nice design
  • Con:
not a very good sound, especially for it's price. no subwoofer included.

No subwoofer included , which is quite surprising considering the price of it.
sound quality is only medium.

"Vesatile Sound Bar"

Dewi Griffiths | 3 April 2020

  • Pros:
    Multiple Inputs
  • Pros:
    Great for TV
  • Pros:
    Excellent build quaity
  • Pros:
    General all round sound system
  • Con:
    Bass lacks punch

Bought to replace a sound base and its primary function was just for TV.
I've had this now for around 6 weeks and over the last several weeks working from home it has proved its worth.
I have my Brennan B2 (stores 5000 CDs in FLAC/WAV format), TV and a recently rediscovered Mini Disc player running through it.
Don't expect audiophile quality and as some have pointed out no sub woofer, you know soundbars will always be a compromise.
However TV sound (Netflix, Amazon Prime and my own MKVs) more than acceptable. Voice is clear, music also quite sharp.
Music as a background sound (no need for turning on my stereo audio or surround sound amps) is surprisingly clear.
It fills a 30m² room with more than acceptable sound.
Over the last month it has had a serious work out and I'm very happy with it.
