How do you prepare for solar panel installation?
Make sure you're home
The most important thing is for you to be home on the day of installation. That way, we can get everywhere we need to be and we can discuss possible questions right away. On the day itself, we'll tell you at what time we'll be at your house. The installation takes a day. Are the weather conditions bad? Chances are we reschedule the installation. We'll plan a new date that's suitable for you
Clear the road outside
We'll come by with a large solar panel van, sometimes with a trailer. We can work faster if we can park as closely to your house as possible. Clear the driveway for us or try to occupy a parking spot near your house. In case of high roofs, we'll install a scaffold. Do you have planters, bikes, or benches in your garden? Remove them if they're on the side of your house where the solar roof will be installed. That way, we'll have all the space we need for the installation.
Clean inside the house as well
During the installation, we'll get started inside the house as well. For example, we might have to install an inverter in the attic or make changes in the fuse box. Make sure we'll have enough work space and can get everywhere. For example, empty the fuse box or move furniture in the attic.
Have spare roof tiles ready
Do you have roof tiles on the roof? Make sure to have a couple of spare ones ready. We'll replace the roof tiles in case they break or are already broken.
Register your solar roof
At the end of the installation day, it's important you register your solar roof with your network operator. You can do this via www.energieleveren.nl. In our advice article, we'll guide you through the steps.
