What does a Lead Software Engineer Typescript (Backend) at Coolblue do?

As a Team Lead Tech TypeScript Backend, you lead a multidisciplinary team of 3-7 Coolblue colleagues. You are not only the team captain but also a hands-on developer, spending 75-80% of your time coding, engaging in technical discussions, making architectural decisions, and doing pair programming. Together with the product owner, customer journey specialist, designer, and analyst, you guide the team in the right direction. You ensure code quality by applying best practices and conducting code reviews, while continuously looking for ways to improve collaboration and productivity. You foster an open culture where feedback is the norm, so new team members feel at home quickly. Together, you build software that delights our customers.

You recognize yourself in the following

At least 3 years of experience with TypeScript in the back-end in scalable projects. Experience with PHP is a plus.
Minimum 2 years of experience in coaching and team development.
Leadership skills that foster a positive, collaborative atmosphere.
Strong communication skills to clearly explain complex decisions.
Problem-solving ability and familiarity with SOLID, TDD, and BDD principles.
A keen eye for code quality and a natural preference for agile working.
