After 2 days of searching and comparing I went for the PM6007, in combination with the CD6007. Installation was quick and easy. After listening to a number of CDs I was sure that this one is a keeper. The sound is colourful, warm and yet detailed enough that an audiophile will not be easily annoyed (including differences between speakers). The amplifier is also nice in appearance. A simple and classic design that actually fits into any setup.
If you are looking for a solid, beautiful and simple amplifier that above all delivers a colorful and warm sound, then this Marantz is a very good choice.
