The iRobot Roomba Combo j5+ is a smart robot vacuum cleaner that cleans floors conveniently. The automatic emptying station makes it even easier for you.
Simple installation
When I unpack the robot, I immediately see a card with installation instructions. Handy, because this way I can be sure that I place the robot vacuum cleaner correctly. I also immediately download the iRobot Home app. The app is easy to use and very clear. I receive step-by-step instructions and the robot starts its first round. The app is very complete and ensures that I don't actually have to think.
Smart techniques
The robot drives a systematic route through my house. I see that he makes his path in straight lines, so he doesn't miss a piece easily. Handy, because it cleans my entire floor thoroughly. If the robot encounters a shoe or cable, it recognizes it with its camera. This allows him to avoid items lying around. This saves me effort, because I don't have to clear the entire floor before the robot starts. This robot even recognizes your pet's feces. I don't have a pet myself, so (fortunately) I didn't have to test this. In the app I also set exactly how the robot cleans my house. Great, because this way I can really adapt the robot to my wishes. This way I indicate where the robot is not allowed to go and which room deserves extra attention.
Automatic emptying station
When the robot has finished its round, it automatically drives back to the base station. Here the robot also immediately empties its built-in dust container. Even if the dust container is full during a cleaning routine, the robot moves back briefly. Very handy, because I don't have to pay attention to this myself. I only replace the dust bag in the emptying station when it is full.
Mopping function
I also use the robot with a mopping function. To do this I first have to install the mop attachment. I easily fill the water reservoir under the tap. The robot now wets the mop and pulls it over the floor while vacuuming. This way it removes even more dust from the floor. I now have to set a no-go zone for my carpet via the app. Otherwise the robot will drive over it with the wet mop. I find this less useful.
