Recently I bought a Sony Camcorder with the NP-FV30 as standard battery, good for just under 2 hours of recording. Not enough to capture unexpectedly beautiful moments during an outing or the exciting end of a stage performance. An extra, stronger battery is therefore necessary.
Unfortunately, I could not find any information on the net about the estimated life of the models NP-F30, 50, 70 or 100.
