I do this with the cutting knife, no experience with the beater yet. The disadvantage of this large bowl is that the inside is not even, so that it is more difficult to scrape it out, but that is a detail. The blender works great. Have thrown in all kinds of fruit, even frozen fruit and it makes juices with ease.
The small attachment tray, for example for cutting an onion, making guacamole or herb butter, also works well. I have the least experience with grating. That part broke too.
