With 2 families we have just completed a trip to South France. We both bought a Mobicool V30. It's a cool box and not a fridge. You should therefore judge it that way and especially use it that way. We turned on the cool box the night before with some cool drinks and a freezer/cooling element in it. This way, the device cools quickly and you can immediately use your drinks and other food in the morning. If you have the option to also put those drinks cool in the box, then you are guaranteed nice cool drinks throughout the ride. The operating noise is not disturbing. With us, the box was in an open trunk. With some background music and the driving noises you actually hear nothing of the operation. Choose the 30L version, it is more than worth the extra cost.
