Range of the base station

It all looks very slick and the installation (both software and hardware) is really a breeze. What didn't quite live up to expectations, however, is the range of the base station. Now I'm in the middle of the city center with a lot of WiFi APs around me. But I haven't been able to find a place for the base station that will allow to cover both the front door camera and the gate behind my house (about 40 meters between them). Connection dropped continuously at that distance - even if the camera still showed 2 or 3 bars of reception. Operation with a WiFi range extender is also not recommended. For the greatest possible stability, it is still best to hang the base station directly on your wired router.

After playing around with the positions of both base station and cameras, I now have a setup that satisfies.

What is also somewhat disappointing is the response speed of the motion detectors. It often happens that the movement has already happened and is out of the picture before the camera starts recording (and then you're watching a very boring movie for 30 seconds :-)). This is definitely a point of improvement that they should still implement.
