Description

If you're looking for a powerful lamp to illuminate your outdoor space, parking area, or garage, the 20-watt Smartwares XQ1221 Floodlight is a good choice. The XQ1221 detects motion at a distance of up to 8 meters and a 180-degree angle. You can mount this stainless steel floodlight on a wall or the ceiling. The integrated LED lamp provides a bright white light, thanks to its high color temperature. The XQ1221 is equipped with a twilight sensor, which ensures that the lamp only works after sunset. You won't need any lighting as long as the sun's shining, after all. The motion sensor ensures that the lamp will only turn on when it detects movement.

Lamp hung to illuminate a lawn/area at a Scouting clubhouse. Luminaire is made of solid coated metal, feels very solid!

The lamp itself gives a lot of light. The yield will be equal to a 150W halogen, but because of the white light you see more. The color of this light can be a disadvantage, you will not enjoy a beer in it. However, it is very effective for securing something, at a low maintenance cost (20W and 30,000 life hours).

However, the sensor, which is located under the lamp, is made of plastic. Not bad in itself, but it would have been nice if everything was made of metal. Unfortunately, the sensor can only be adjusted vertically, not horizontally; luckily the angle is very good. Most moves are picked up quickly! Thanks to the built-in light sensor, the lamp naturally remains off during the day.

Price/quality is top! The lamp is of course a bit more expensive than the halogen equivalent, but that is reflected in a long lifespan and low power costs.
