After previously buying the Bose Soundtoch10 as a radio in the kitchen, I became so enthusiastic that I bought a Soundtouch30 (series 3) for the living room. Bose released the Soundtouch10 and Soundtouch20 and 30 (Series 3) in late Q3 2015. All 3 models are equipped with Bluetooth and dual band WiFi (2.4 and 5 GHz), which are good improvements compared to the series 2 speakers. I also understand that the series 3 has improved speakers compared to the series 2.
Connecting was also a piece of cake with this Soundtouch30. After the most recent update of the Bose app, it all works just fine over my 5GHz network.
The Soundtouch30 produces a rich and full sound that can fill a large room with ease! If I then select 'Play everywhere', where the Soundtouch10 is nicely synchronized with the Soundtouch30, then the sound is absolutely fantastic. If you find the bass predominant, you can easily turn it down a bit using the app. Go to Explore-Settings-Systems and click on the desired speaker in your system whose name or bass you want to change.
There are 6 preset settings that you can see in the app as well as on the speaker itself as push buttons and also on the remote control. All in all, I can heartily recommend the new Soundtouch speakers (the 10 or touch20 /30 series 3)! For 599 euros you get a system with the Soundtouch30 that you can do everything with and with an amazingly powerful sound. Connect even more Soundtouch speakers to complete the party.
