LED projectors are the future. They are small, economical and durable. I wanted a beamer that can be used as a TV and that can be connected to my ChromeCast.
To start with the latter, I immediately had to buy an adapter from hdmi mini to hdmi. There is only HDMI mini on the beamer. The advantage is that the built-in battery provides enough power to power the Chromecast.
The image quality is fine and sharp. Especially considering comparable projectors. The brightness is not the lowest at 350 lumens but not high either. For a few bucks more you have the Acer k135i with 600 lumens. However, it was sold out so I bought the Philips Picopix. Acer again lacks 720p image quality. Incidentally, both beamers would not survive against bright daylight. We have shutters at home to keep out that daylight.
Finally, it is a pity that the image format is not digitally adjustable. You have to physically move the projector to enlarge or reduce the image. Because there is also no ceiling mounting on screw thread and you lack a remote control, the beamer has to be mounted on a tripod or table. This makes it difficult to place the projector somewhere permanently.
Overall it is a great LED projector that has an excellent image and is very easy to carry.
