According to our gaming headset expert
For years, the G930 was Logitech's only true wired 7.1 surround sound PC headset. It's a serious piece of electronics for serious PC gamers and audiophiles. See here the follow up to the G930: the Logitech G933 Artemis Spectrum. Just like its predecessor, this is a wired 7.1 surround sound headset. Personalize it with interchangeable illuminated tags and switch between colors with a pallet of up to 16.8 million colors. Choose for yourself which functions are operated by the G keys on the right ear cup.

Since the first reviews appeared on the worldwide web around the end of August, I was interested in the headset. The old headset (on-ear, wired Sennheiser) had seen better days and needed to be replaced.
Logitech already indicates with the packaging that they have paid attention to it, unpacking feels like Christmas.
Owned and used the headset for a while now, and I really like the headset.
Installation may take a while, the Logitech Gaming Software had to be downloaded again before the headset was recognized. (Old software was up to date, did not provide an update option)
With the software installed and the USB driver it is a matter of plug and play.
Surround sound is turned off by default, this takes a bit of searching in the software and then there is a choice between 'DTS Headphone X' and 'Dolby Surround sound'. The personal preference here is really 'Dolby Surround sound'.
When the settings are right, the real party can begin. In daily use, games, music and watching movies are discussed.
In all 3 cases, the headset is excellent to use, only the headset makes the real difference when gaming.
The Surround sound experience is phenomenal and this is a big advantage when playing a Shooter. Clear communication through the microphone that can be folded away when necessary to switch off the microphone immediately.
There is no need to miss a Teamspeak meeting when you close your window.
The earcups can tilt, this is not very useful, especially when taking it off, because the entire headset suddenly turns at the point where you just hold it. Other material used is predominantly hard plastic, which still creates a sturdy product.
The price is high, but you also get a very nice product in return that makes me enjoy every time I experience a beautiful sound reproduction.

Have been using the headset for 8 months now. I use it for games, watching movies and listening to music. A very nice headset with good sound, but the price is a bit on the high side. Below is a point by point explanation:
Comfort: I can sit for hours with this headset on my head, the fabric is very soft and does not hurt, but it is a bit warm
Design: This is always a matter of taste, of course, but compared to the G930 that I also had it has definitely improved, very nice, especially the LED is a nice touch, although you don't see much of it when you wear it of course ;)
Noise Cancellation / Sound: Very satisfied with the noise cancellation, as soon as you wear the headset you can barely hear what's happening around you, so you can enjoy your in-game sound/music or movie to the fullest. 7.1 surround sound has been incorporated, although this all takes some getting used to via the Logitech Gaming software, which brings me to the next point.
Microphone: The microphone is pretty baggy in this headset. You barely have bass in it and way too many highs. The sidetone function is nice, though, so you can still hear yourself so you don't talk too loud because of the noise cancellation ;)
Software: The software used at Logitech (Logitech Gaming Software) is an all-in-hub for your Logitech gaming peripherals. I have a mouse, keyboard and headset from Logitech Gaming and it works very well together. However, for the headset it is quite unclear what you can set and it really took a while before you can set the right sound that you want. There are 2 general settings: Dolby surround 7.1 and dts Headphone X, where you have another 3 options. Then you can choose again whether you want super terreo front or super stereo wide. I myself am not a fan of the 7.1 technology, because it takes a lot of bass out of your sound. In addition, thanks to the software, the headset had difficulty maintaining a connection with the dongle. Which brings me back to:
Range: The range is very disappointing. With the G930 I could easily get a cup of coffee from my computer upstairs to the kitchen downstairs and I could continue to enjoy my music, for example, but that is less with the G933!? It regularly loses range as soon as you are about 6 meters away from your PC. So minus point!
Wiring: You have beautiful braided cables, (woven with fabric around it). It is often assumed that this makes wiring less likely to curl and that it lasts longer. I can tell you, unfortunately that is not the case. I left the wiring neat and never coiled the charger, but the cable started doing this by itself and now you have ugly kinks in the charging cable. I think this is a let down, especially for the price!
Conclusion: All points in a nutshell: It is a very nice sitting headset, with nice and good sound if you know how to tweak the kiost setting. The build quality is good, but the cables let me down in my eyes. Software could have been a lot better in the beginning and Logitech has been working on that. The range is a disappointment with about 6 meters (it goes through a ceiling and 2 thin walls). The microphone could also be much better for this price. This headset gets a 7/10 from me.

Headset fits well on your head. Don't suffer from earaches etc. So you can continue as long as you want. Wireless range is also very good.
