Our first baby monitor was an audio only from Avent, we are very pleased with this, but with the arrival of our second little one we wanted to use a camera baby monitor. The choice fell on this Avent, because it looks good and the reviews so far have been positive.
Product is neatly packaged and looks beautiful. Installing everything was a piece of cake, so you could start testing right away. Image quality did meet my expectations and the audio that came from the parent unit was also of clear quality. So far so good.
Then came two important functions that we use a lot ; the talk-back function and the lullabies. This was really below average and I was very shocked by that, the lullabies were very shrill and out of tune, this is anything but soothing. Then we went to test the talk-back function, and were blown away by the shrill and loud volume that came from the camera, unfortunately this volume could not be adjusted either.
The conclusion was that we would return this baby monitor. No sooner said than done. And then Coolblue's excellent service is just around the corner, free return shipping, good communication about the state of affairs, and the amount has now been properly returned.
