This clock has what I was looking for. The display can be on continuously, but I prefer the option to only see the display when touched or sounded. My cat is already aware of this and gives it a push every now and then to see if it's dinner time already :-) So no annoying LED at night. The display alternates between time, date and temperature. The letters are nice and big, so I can read it without glasses. The option to set the alarm only on weekdays or 7/7 is useful. You can also set 3 different times. The design is very sober and stylish. When the display is off, this clock just looks like a nicely finished wooden block. The rechargeable battery lasts for 3 months before having to recharge with the included adapter. The only downside is that you can't see in the display whether the alarm is on or off. This clock isn't cheap, but I certainly don't feel cheated.
