Pros and cons

According to our projector expert
  • Because it's lightweight, you can easily take the projector with you.
  • With the integrated media player, you can project directly from your USB flash drive.
  • The low light output makes it difficult to see the image in a lit space.
  • This product isn't suitable for a wireless connection to an iOS device.

"Excellent purchase, just make sure you have good curtains"

Kerem Eryilmaz | 29 November 2018

  • Pros:
    Wireless access
  • Pros:
    Clear picture
  • Pros:
    3D support
  • Pros:
    Bluetooth audio support
  • Con:
    Weak speakers
  • Con:
    No native Netflix support
  • Con:
Not bright enough for sunny days

This is a very good package given its price. It handles 3D content (with glasses sold separately), colors look *very* good for a projector this size, it is moderately bright so that you can use it as long as you draw the curtains. But you will have trouble if you have direct sunlight on a sunny day.

The only real downside is there is no trivial way to stream Netflix without a Chromecast or something. It natively supports Miracast, but since operating systems are extremely lazy about supporting Miracast (especially non-wireless Miracast), I ended up coupling this with a Chromecast so that I can stream Netflix from my devices. Note that if you try to stream Netflix through Miracast, it often does not work since Netflix videos have DRM protection, and would just show up blank.

Other than that, the only issue is the speakers being tinny, but that is to be expected from mini projector speakers.
