According to our studio microphone expert
With the AKG P120 condenser microphone you record vocals and instruments in your project studio. In addition to recording in the studio, you also use the microphone on stage. You switch on the high pass filter to filter out contact sound coming from the stage. Think of the contact sound that the singer causes when picking the microphone stand. This means you will not suffer from low rumbling bass frequencies in your recordings. Thanks to the SPL up to 150 dB, you record sound without causing unwanted distortion. By enabling the preattunation pad of -20 dB, you prevent a sound from being recorded too loudly and distorted.
