Nuc ships without memory and OS. I still had RAM and SSD memory from a lost laptop. As OS taken Ubuntu 18.4 for the first time. Installation of memory and OS went smoothly. Nuc now serves as a PC and media center, running quietly and smoothly. The only downside is that in my opinion the WiFi module is not one of the best, so the internet was too slow. This has now been resolved with a WiFi booster.

Use this mini computer for HOME ASSISTANT; currently one of the most beautiful open source home automation programs. First ran this package on a Raspberry PI3 but after some extensions it really became too much for the Raspberry. So now installed on the Intel NUC (have put 8GB of memory in it and a 256GB SSD disk), works like a train. After some testing I provided the NUC with PROXMOX virtualization, and installed a virtual computer with HOME ASSISTANT in Proxmox: super handy and simple. And everything continues to work quickly. REALLY RECOMMENDED!!!!
