"Minder functioneel dan western digital suggereert."

Bart Koetzier | 26 June 2019 | Total storage capacity: 8 TB

  • Pros:
    Stil
  • Pros:
    Grote opslag
  • Con:
    Beperkte functionaliteit plex server app
  • Con:
Limiet op de public share folder
  • Con:
Geen toegang apps voor private share

De functionaliteit van de software is beperkter dan western digital doet geloven. De schrijfsnelheid is ook minder hoog dan verwacht.

"Do not correspond to the description of a NAS."

Nuno Afonso | 1 August 2019 | Total storage capacity: 8 TB

  • Con:
    very noisy
  • Con:
    horrible user interface
  • Con:
does not recover from multiple connections

WD my cloud is very noisy and does not allow local administration. It forces the user to login online all the time. The user interface is horrible and very difficult to share files between different users (all users must be registered on WD portal).
When copying more than one folder at once, it divides the bandwidth to share half for each transfer, but after one of the folders finish, it does not use the available bandwidth again for the ongoing transference.
There is no easy way to see the usage of the storage, which is a basic functionality.
The extra software from WD, like the security or the utilities do not work with this equipment.
Honestly, not impressed at all.
