According to our 360-degree camera expert
Make 360-degree recordings in 5.2K at 30 frames per second with the GoPro Fusion. Thanks to the high resolution, every corner gets recorded like you're recording with 6 regular GoPro's simultaneously. Use the OverCapture function in the GoPro app to create sharp cuts of your video. Never miss any audio detail, thanks to its 4 microphones. Combined, these have a 360-degree range. When you playback the images using VR gear, you imagine yourself at the recording location. Your images are stable thanks to the integrated image stabilization. You can also make 360-degree recordings under water. The camera is waterproof down to a depth of 5 meters without the casing. Which is quite useful when you're a water sports fan.
Note: to use the GoPro Fusion, you require 2 microSD memory cards.

I've been using it for a week now and think it's a fantastic camera. Insert two SDs, insert the large battery and start filming. The included tripod/pole is fantastic, because it allows you to do a lot of fun things with your camera. The most fantastic thing about the camera is the “Overcapture mode” with which you can make spectacular movies in regular HD, because in this way you extract pieces of image from the 360 clip. Furthermore, the stabilization is really spectacular and it does seem like you're using a gimbal.
But there are also a number of points (you can call them negatives) that you should know about this camera.
Your camera has a camera on both sides that each film 180 degrees. As a result, you need two Micro SD cards that are recorded simultaneously. Afterwards, the images from both cameras have to be glued together and that is where the problem lies. If you do this via the smartphone app, it goes quite smoothly, but if you do this via your PC or laptop, and it is older than 2016, you have to have a lot of patience to stitch the images. And with a lot of patience I mean up to 12 hours to paste 6 clips of a few minutes. All you can do is upgrade your PC by adding more RAM and using ssd or thunderbolt drives. I myself had expected that it would take longer because of the 360, but this was a bit of a swallow.
Another small point are the camera lenses. These are not protected during filming and you must therefore make sure that you do not drop the camera otherwise you will get ugly scratches. Hopefully they will find something else in the future.

Delivered quickly as usual from Coolblue! TOP!!
The GoPro Fusion comes with some accessories. The "GoPro Fusion Case" is a handy case for around your GoPro, so you can be sure that you can safely take it with you wherever you go. However, the "GoPro Fusion Grip" that is also in the box is too small to use as a tripod.
The GoPro itself requires 2 SD cards. When connecting the GoPro to my "Samsung S9+" there was an immediate problem. It was not supported. Unfortunate!! When connecting to the "iPhone X", this was no problem at all. The app itself was not a plus for me! The connection between the GoPro and the app was weak. If I went back only 1 meter, the connection was already broken. Then I bought the "GoPro Smart Remote". And that went a lot better. I was able to take pictures with this remote control up to 20m (can even go up to 180m) even through the walls.
The pity of this 360 camera is that you still have to merge the 2 separate images into a 360 photo. But this wasn't a problem as you can download a free program from the GoPro website itself. This program itself recognizes which images belong together and which do not.
In the photo below you can see that the GoPro is very sharp in some places, and very detailed. (green circles) However, there were also some blurry images. This was especially in the places where the 2 photos match, and in the places where it was very dark. (red circles)
==> CONCLUSION: It's a beauty of a camera! You get value for money because a lot of accessories are included. However, I personally would not use this camera anymore because the image quality of the camera is not top. You can just as well buy a cheaper model like the "Insta 360", "Ricoh" or "360Fly".

I bought this camera for filming a VR training. For this I used a different (cheaper) camera, and I have to say that the Fusion is much better. Well, you pay for that too. Personally, I find the camera very easy to use. The biggest drawback is the Fusion Studio software that you have to use, and it is really heavy. My MacBook Pro (retina, mid 2012) can still handle it quite well. All in all, definitely recommended if you have the money to spare!
