Product Expert smart lamps

The LIFX White & Color E27 has integrated Wi-Fi so that the use of a bridge is not necessary. Via the LIFX app on your smartphone (iOS, Android and Windows) you set each individual lamp. Each setting stores the lamp and is executed (even when the lamp is not switched on). This version has all white tones and 16 million colors, 1100 lumens and a color temperature of 2700 Kelvin. All LIFX lamps are compatible with, among others, Google Assistant, Amazon Alexa, IFTTT, Apple HomeKit and Flic. In addition to the control via the app, you can also operate them easily with your voice.

"The best smart light bulb"

Rob | 16 March 2020 | In the version: 1 piece

  • Pros:
    Extremely vivid colours
  • Pros:
    Brightness
  • Pros:
Synchronises into beautiful scenes with other Lifx products over the app
  • Pros:
Remembers its last setting when unplugged (unlike Phillips which restarts to default)
  • Pros:
Doesn't require a bridge, doesn't restrict you to use one system
  • Con:
Can be difficult and not intuitive to connect to WiFi at first, but it's just a one-time challenge

I absolutely love it. I was looking for an alternative to the closed system of Phillips Hue and found this gem. I was amazed by the truly intense colours and brightness, unlike any other brand's products. This has some POWER while still consuming little energy. Of course, you don't need to go all the way. (If you only want to use smaller accent lights, go for Lifx Mini).
It works with most control systems like SmartThings and allows you to mix Lifx with other brands over WiFi, as you like. It's a bit more pricey, but you get what you pay for. The Lifx customer support is top-notch.
Great find. Definitely underappreciated.
