I myself am the type of nerd who is very careful with his stuff, in other words, when I first started using the iPhone 12 Pro Max, I wanted it to be safe and sound in the car. What made me very happy is that the clamps and feet are provided with soft material, so that the chance of scratches is relatively small.
The holder can be attached well and firmly. I mounted the holder with the suction cup against the window. Has a good firm clamp and the suction cup itself is provided with an adhesive layer for extra safety. It takes a bit of twisting and bending, but once the holder is in place, there is hardly any movement in it. Also very nice while driving that the phone floats stably in sight.
Automatically opening and closing the clamps is handy and fun, I am curious about how often the wheels will wear out, but we will see that. Closing the clips open is quite easy, so positioning the phone has to be done quickly, but that takes some getting used to. The standard cable that is included to at least open and close the clips and charge the phone slowly is a bit short. In my case, the holder is glued to the bottom left corner of the forward. The distance to the USB input is therefore too great for the cable. So I use a spare USB C to A cable that I had. When the holder is mounted in the middle of the windscreen or air vents, the cable is long enough. Lights on the sides are bright blue, not a big deal in themselves, only when driving in the dark it can reflect a bit annoying, but that's a small thing.
Long story short, for this money a great holder, which allows me to go on the road with his car and iPhone 12 Pro Max.
