I seriously considered buying an RTX 2070 Super because it is more in the sweet spot in terms of value for money, but because I also play virtual reality games on an Oculus Rift S, where a stable frame rate is of great importance for your well-being, I ordered the extra power of the RTX 2080 Super and paid a reasonable price for it thanks to Gigabyte and Coolblue.
The card performs well, is generally quiet (in my Be Quiet! tower under my desk) and has exactly the 3 DisplayPort and 1 HDMI connections I needed.
