Bought the WD My Passport Wifi years ago. Good enough for backups, but too slow for media streaming. This Pro offers everything I missed with the previous one: much faster, true Plex for media streaming, more stable WiFi and also 5 GHz WiFi. SD card reader is much faster. And to my surprise, backups can also be made via the USB port. Connect iPhone and all photos from phone will be backed up to disk. This is slow (5-10 min) if there is a lot of content on the iPhone). You may of course not compare this My Passport with a computer.
