The positive aspects of the experience were the unboxing experience, the sound quality, the built quality of the microphone and tripod. The microphone and equipment come in a beautifully built foldable bag. The tripod comes outside of this little bag. The microphone sounds great and the MOTIV App has a very wide array of possibilities to your sound settings.. It could be a perfect versatile video blogging experience, but unfortunately...
In order to start using the microphone you have to set your phone in airplane mode, which is kinda of a bother if you want to stream live without having WiFi network available. Another point is the connectivity issue I had with this microphone and my iPhone 11 Pro, after 30 secs the mic would stop working and I had to reconnect the lightning cable in order for the mic to be recognized again. That is a huge issue if you are recording a concert, an interview and other events that you would not have a second chance to record. My guess is that the lightning cable to micro-usb cable is the biggest issue in this connection issue. But, if I am paying 229 euros for a microphone kit, I expect that all the components in the kit function properly... which was not the case. Also by observing the quality on the phone clamp you can tell that it is not a quality product, unfortunately.
