First impression
When we opened the box, we already found out that this was a very decent vacuum cleaner. High quality and a professional appearance. It's just eager to get started as soon as you take it out of the package. You will also find several additional attachments in the box.
The vacuum cleaner runs very smoothly and is very flexible. The cart itself is not, as with many other vacuum cleaners, a "block on your leg". It drives nice and smooth and cornering is no problem. The wheels at the bottom of the handle are also a very nice extra. In short, our first impression is very positive!
design
You notice that when designing the vacuum cleaner, they really took into account the purpose of the device. Large wheels, large front collector and extendable handle. Just to name a few. The machine is actually built around the collecting tray, which is easy to remove and replace. The long power cord (8 meters) is placed nice and high on the cart, making it very easy to handle. Also useful is the suction power regulator and the handle (with suction nozzle and extendable brush) on which it sits, at the end of the hose. The stem can then be clicked in here. Other than that, for a vacuum cleaner, it just looks really nice. He's off!
suction power
We think this is one of the 2 biggest advantages of this machine. Sometimes he even tries a little too hard. When vacuuming the doormat, it just creates a kind of vacuum and the suction nozzle is stuck. Then open the suction control a little and we can continue. Even with a fully "opened" suction regulator, everything near the squeegee is vacuumed cleanly. You just see that everything near the nozzle is being sucked in that direction. For the small nooks and crannies you can easily just use the handle with the extended brush over the suction mouth, a nice side effect. In short, we have never seen a cyclone vacuum cleaner with such unwise suction power as this Rowenta!
A small downside is that the longer you are vacuuming, the heavier it becomes. This is because of that unwise suction power.
Sound Level
This is the second big plus of this machine. It really is unbelievably quiet! When we first used it, we were also looking for a power control knob, because we thought it was on the lowest setting. Then when we started vacuuming and saw how he did it, we knew this was the maximum in terms of noise. Just really bizarre! In that respect, it certainly lives up to its name “Silence Force Cyclonic”. And I don't need to tell you anything more about that Force.
Normally the work vitamins music should always be set to 10 while sucking, with this Rowenta you don't have to! Wonderful tranquility...
Conclusion
We are very satisfied with the Rowenta “Silence Force Cyclonic RO7649. He really exceeded all our expectations! The only downside is the great suction power, which makes sucking a bit heavier in the long run, but this certainly does not outweigh all the pluses out there. Oddly enough, the suction power is also one of the pluses, along with noise level, maneuverability and the functions of the machine.
In short, we highly recommend this vacuum cleaner and you will certainly not regret it!
