Thermostat doesn't work for a meter

Nice BBQ, but the thermostat is a disaster. There is far too much bandwidth between switching off and on again. Approx. 100 K (measured). This means that when the correct temperature is reached, the BBQ practically switches off and cools down and only reaches temperature again after 10 minutes. Sometimes it overshoots, resulting in flames. Actually not usable. My first copy has already been exchanged for a new one free of charge (good service from Weber!), but it has the same problem.
