It is a nice shaver with an excellent shaving result. Compared to my 10 year old 9000 Philips shaver, the skin irritation near the throat was a little more in the first few weeks, but I understood that your skin needs to get used to a new device/routine for a few weeks. By adjusting my shaving routine, I ultimately have less skin irritation. Previously I always shaved dry, but now I shave wet according to these steps: 1. I first wash my face and throat with warm water, so that the pores open more. 2. Then do not dry off, so that the water still protects the skin somewhat, and then shave. 3. After shaving my face, I wet my throat again with warm water (otherwise the water has already dried up too much) and shave my left side of the neck. 4. Then wet my right side again with warm water and shave. 5. Wash with cold water after shaving. I am very satisfied with this. Shaving is now a lot faster than before. The battery lasts a long time, easily lasting several weeks. Cleaning is also quick and easy, simply tap out, rinse and leave to dry in the enclosed stand. Guided shaving with an app was new to me, see details below. Guided shaving with app: Works via Bluetooth with an app on your smartphone or tablet. After creating an account, the shaver could easily be linked. After pairing, the shaver still had to be "set up", which was also quick and easy. The app looks at three aspects: the amount of circular movements, the pressure applied and the shaving time. Even though I have been shaving with a Philips shaver for years, I only had a "satisfactory" score for the amount of rotating movements. For me, it took some time to get used to pressing harder, especially because I have sensitive skin, especially around the throat, but that went well after a few weeks of getting used to it. Despite the slight skin irritation, the shaving result is good. I must also say that it saves time by trying to get the shave done in three minutes. So far I haven't quite succeeded, but I'm satisfied with 3:30 minutes. I shave every two days. I have also experimented with shaving in the morning or evening. If you shave without guidance with the app, the shaving results will be sent to the app later. In conclusion, even though I have been shaving with an electric shaver for 25 years, guided shaving with the help of an app certainly had added value. Of course you can also shave without the app. The shaver has an illuminated ring under the head that uses colors to indicate whether you are pressing hard enough (blue = too soft, green = good, orange = too hard). However, I have to "reset" the shaving device every time in the app, luckily the app does this itself.

Shaves as it should. Matching trimmer works well. Pressure sensor gives feedback whether you are pushing well or badly. Bought this after the umpteenth torture with razor blades. Recommended for those who choose a pleasant shave.

Great shaver, but all those "bells and whistles", such as a pressure sensor, Bluetooth connection, Shaving app, etc. are not really necessary for me. Negative point towards Philips: The unclear (of course cheap for Philips) instructions with only, often incomprehensible, symbols. Example: If you press the menu button a little too long, you will not enter the menu. How do you find this out through this manual? So Philips: Please provide understandable instructions for use in the language of the country instead of the “bells and whistles”.
