With the Supersola Plug and Play solar panel you can easily generate your own solar energy. The panel is a bit difficult to put down, but the installation itself is very easy.
First impression
The solar panel is 182 by 110 centimeters and weighs about 50 kilos. This is too heavy for me to lift alone. This is possible with 2 people. Once out of the box, the Supersola looks nice. The cables are neatly rolled up and the ballast tanks are easy to remove.
Set up the solar panel
I place the Supersola on the ground in the garden. Due to its weight and size, it takes a while before it is in place. But after that the rest goes very quickly. You can easily slide the ballast tanks out from under the solar panel and fill them with water. This way, the solar panel does not shift when there is a strong wind, for example.
Installation
The installation is much easier than I thought. Everything is explained clearly and understandably in the manual. The details for registering the solar panel are also clearly described. You get 2 cables of 5 meters with the Supersola, so you place it a maximum of 10 meters away from a socket. This is more than enough for me to connect the solar panel to the socket in the shed. If you have more than one panel, connect them together with the extra cable.
Generate energy
Once the plug is plugged in, you don't have to do anything anymore. The Supersola immediately starts generating power itself. The solar panel does not have an app to track the yield. If you want this, I would use a smart plug. In the app of the plug you can see how much power you generate with the solar panel.
