I was able to test this air fryer for a few weeks.
Appearance:
At first glance it was immediately clear that this duo basket version is really suitable for a family. It is spacious, stable, matt black and beautifully designed. Its rounded corners give it a streamlined appearance. The removable container can be separated into two equal components by placing a partition. If you remove the partition you have a large container. Easy for a container full of fries. The top is equipped with a clear and extensive on-screen display. Too bad there is no basket in the container to tip the food onto your plate.
Convenience:
Before use, I first preheat the air fryer for 5 minutes at 180c. This is already a big improvement compared to my oven. Then, depending on the products, a designated program can be selected such as frozen, meat/fish, vegetables, cake or reheating. This is handy so that you only have to select one button when using it so that the time and temperature are set immediately. The drawer can be used as a large container, where you have to use the XXL setting so that the temperature is used for the entire container, or as two separate containers. This allows you to place fish or meat on the left side, for example, and vegetables or potatoes on the right side. Both sides can also be controlled independently in terms of temperature and time. This is useful when one side is cooked faster than the other or needs a little more temperature. You can also set the shaking function. For example, when you are frying chips, you will receive a signal 5 minutes before the end time that you can shake the container back and forth and then complete the program again. A bell will also sound when the end time has elapsed.
I have tried a number of dishes and must say that I am super enthusiastic! What a difference compared to using an oven. My oven, to be clear. All dishes are cooked beautifully and crispy. Drumsticks, fish sticks, plaice, chips, sweet potato fries, slices of courgette. All this is done in a short time and becomes deliciously crispy. In the oven I had to turn everything over on the baking paper again, but that is not necessary in this case because the hot air circulates through the container by means of the Rapid Air system and bakes everything evenly. You can also steam vegetables wrapped in foil in the air fryer. All in all, everything goes effortlessly and reasonably quickly. What you do have to get used to is that you have to tip the container over after baking because there is no separate basket in the container.
Cleaning after use:
Because the parts such as the 2 separate grids on the bottom, the partition and the inside of the container are provided with a non-stick coating, they are easy to clean after use. After the dishes are ready, I immediately put the parts in a container with lukewarm water so that I can easily wash them afterwards. The grease or oil on the parts can easily be removed with soapy water. Use the soft part of the scouring pad and not the scouring part so as not to damage the parts.
