I was looking for a solution that both replaces my existing stereo set and can also serve as a good(!) soundbar under my TV. At the same time, it was not allowed to get in the way, not to cause cable mess and it had to not only be GOOD! sound but also look good. In short, I had quite a few requirements. And knowing myself, it's not fast enough...
But this Muso Gen 2 does it all better than expected!
As a stereo set, this is a lot better than, for example, 2 Sonos speakers. Sound quality is much more precise and natural. Limited spread because both channels are only 50cm apart. But it does sound very clean and good! Great for a pleasant musical experience of various genres (I listen most: classical, pop, jazz, rap/hip-hop, vocal). Classic sounds with sufficient precision and distinction in placement between instrumental occupation and also the spatial recognition of the acoustics of the concert hall. Rap/hip hop gives a tight solid bass with sufficient impact. And vocally (if the recording allows it of course) is flawless. Enjoy this! In my living room (40m2) this is more than filling space. When the garden doors open, I can still enjoy enough on the terrace. Harder than 40-50% usually not necessary.
As a soundbar, this works perfectly. Much better sound quality than the Sonos or B&W Panorama. HDMI works fine and the volume is nicely adjusted via the remote control of the TV. I suddenly discovered the music and video clips on Youtube!
Management is perfect. Very nice and sensitive volume knob. Handy that you can indicate your preference for max. 5 (internet) radio stations.
Streaming via Tidal works flawlessly. Nice that you directly see artist / album info in the app.
Airplay is useful when using iPhone/iPad.
Remote control is somewhat simple, but I usually use the app anyway.
And then it also looks very nice. Premium, minimalist finish. Doesn't look high tech, but 'floating' on the illuminated perspex pedestal rather like a kind of Zen lamp.
Not the cheapest, but well worth the money in my opinion!
