Compare the Apple iPhone Xr to the Apple iPhone X
The biggest difference between the Apple iPhone Xr and the Apple iPhone X is the processor. Thanks to the A12 Bionic chip, the iPhone Xr is more powerful and able to run larger applications. Both devices are only available refurbished. I'll explain the difference between these 2 iPhones in this article.
Refurbished iPhone Xs
- You can take nice photos in portrait mode with the 2 rear cameras, for example.
- You can unlock the smartphone with facial recognition.
- Refurbished models are used devices that have been refurbished, so they can show slight traces of use.

Screen
Apple iPhone Xr: 6.1-inch LCD
The Apple iPhone Xr has a 6.1-inch Liquid Retina Display. The screen is larger than that of the Apple iPhone X, which means I can use it to comfortably watch movies. The quality of the LCD screen is slightly less good than that of the OLED screen of the iPhone X. This is only noticeable if I actually have the 2 devices side by side.
Apple iPhone X: 5.8-inch OLED
Thanks to the quality of the 5.8-inch Super Retina HD OLED display, the Apple iPhone X triumphs all other screens. With True Tone, colors on the screen are optimally displayed with any type of ambient light. This means I can see the true colors of my photos, whether I'm indoors or outdoors.
Performance
Apple iPhone Xr: A12 Bionic chip
For the Apple iPhone Xr, the new A12 Bionic chip is used. I can benefit from this when playing 3D games or using an Augmented Reality application. These more demanding task aren't a problem thanks to the A12 Bionic chip. The chip is also future proof, so the iPhone Xr will function optimally when new features are launched in the future.
Apple iPhone X: A11 Bionic chip
The Apple iPhone X houses the A11 Bionic chip, the little brother of the A12 bionic chip of the Apple iPhone Xr. In theory, this phone is slightly slower than the Apple iPhone Xr. Since I don't use any 3D or Augmented Reality applications, the A11 Bionic Chip of the Apple iPhone X is more than enough for me.
Colors and storage capacity
Apple iPhone Xr: extensive choice
The Apple iPhone Xr is available in many different colors. I can choose from black, RED, yellow, blue, coral, and white. On top of that, with the Apple iPhone Xr, I can choose from 3 different storage spaces. Apart from the 64GB and 256GB edition, you can also opt for 128GB.
Apple iPhone X: limited choice
With the Apple iPhone X, I can only choose between Space Gray or silver. This is more limited, and the colors are clearly less vibrant than those of the Apple iPhone Xr. In terms of storage, I can choose between a smartphone with 64GB or 256GB of storage. There isn't an in-between option like the one of the Apple iPhone Xr.
Camera
Apple iPhone Xr: 1 rear camera
The rear camera of the Apple iPhone X has 12 megapixels. This makes it less suitable for portrait photos and means I can't use optical zoom. The technique of the A12 Bionic chip makes sure the camera is equipped with Smart HDR. This allows me to take better photos in low light conditions than with the Apple iPhone X.
Apple iPhone X: 2 rear cameras
The back of the Apple iPhone Xr features 2 12-megapixel cameras. This means I can take better portrait photos with this phone compared to the Apple iPhone Xr. This is perfect for holidays or parties. On top of that, I have 2x optical zoom.
Conclusion
In terms of speed, the iPhone Xr beats the Apple iPhone X, all thanks to the A12 Bionic chip. The Apple iPhone Xr is also available in multiple colors, and I can choose from 3 storage capacities. The Apple iPhone X has 2 rear cameras, allowing me to use this smartphone for portrait photos and optical zoom. I can check out my beautiful portrait photos on a Super Retina OLED display, which is better quality than the Apple iPhone Xr screen. We only offer these models as refurbished devices.
