American fridge: how much does an A energy label save compared to an E energy label?
With an energy-efficient American fridge with A energy label, you can save on your energy bill. Compared to a fridge with an E energy label, you pay € 240 less during the expected 15-year lifespan. The CO2 emission is also much less. Your savings are the same as a car ride to Mexico and back. Read all the differences between the 2 energy labels here.
A saves the CO2 emissions of a 10,087km drive
With an energy-efficient American fridge with A energy label, you can save 2805kWh energy compared to a non energy-efficient E label model. This is the same as CO2 emissions of 1503kg. If you compare this to driving a gasoline car, this is a car ride of 10,087km. That's the same distance as a car ride to Cancun in Mexico and back again. We base this comparison on the average lifespan of a fridge: 15 years.
