Expert review of the Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless

My first impression of these earbuds is positive. The fabric charging case has a luxurious appearance and the earbuds look nice. I do think the earbuds are a bit too large. There are also several kinds of accessories in the box, such as other sizes of ear tips and a charging cable.

The noise canceling of the earbuds reduces a reasonable amount of noise. But not everything is reduced. Voices are still audible, but much reduced. The earbuds are especially good at reducing monotone sounds. When I work at the office and hear noise far away, the earbuds shut this out. In public transport, the noise canceling comes into its own.

I'm very impressed by the sound. After testing different genres such as dance, pop, and classical music, every song comes into its own. For example, vocals and instruments sound clear. But when you want people to dance to a dance track, that's no problem thanks to the powerful bass. Even when I turn up the volume, the sound stays intact.

Because these earbuds are slightly larger than many other earbuds, it's important that I properly put them in my ears. I try all included sizes of ear tips and twist both buds in my ears. It's important to twist them, so that the earbuds stay firmly in place.

I download the Sennheiser Smart Control app on my phone and get started right away. I can adjust the sound in the app via an equalizer, but I don't think it's necessary. The sound of the factory settings is exactly right. In addition, I can turn Smart Pause on and off in the app. This function automatically pauses the music when I take the earbuds out of my ears. The function works quite slowly, which I think is disappointing. When I take an earbud out of my ear, it takes 2 seconds before the music pauses.
