How large should my cooler be?
Which cooler size you need, depends on how long you're gone for and how much you take with you. For a day out, a small cooler often is enough. For a weekend or vacation, it's better to choose a medium-sized or large cooler. Some models also have 2 separate parts. That way, you can keep drinks cool and food frozen in 1 cooler, for example.
Coolers sizes
Small
A small cooler is useful for a day out. You can take lunch and drinks for 1 or 2 people with you. It fits 25 cans or 4 bottles of 1.5L.
Medium-sized
A medium-sized cooler is useful for a weekend away. You can store 25 to 5 cans or 4 yo 8 large bottles in it, together with some sandwiches and snacks.
Large
A large cooler is useful for longer vacations or large groups. You can take up to 85 cans or 12 bottles of 1.5L with you. You can take food with you for multiple days.
Large (Dual zone)
This large cooler has 2 compartments with their own temperature. That way, you can freeze in one part and cool in the other at the same time, like meat and drinks.
What are the cooling techniques?
Compressor
A compressor cooler works powerfully and works well at high outdoor temperatures. You can use it as a freezer to up to -18°C.
Thermoelectric coolers
You can connect this cooler to 12V or the power grid. It cools to up to 20°C below the outdoor temperature and is useful for on the go.
