I think the Sony ZV-E10 II is a versatile vlogging camera. It is mainly focused on videography, but I also take beautiful photos with it. The disadvantage is that it does not have built-in image stabilization.
Small and sturdy body
The design of this system camera is very small. This makes it easy to take with me. The lens I am testing the camera with is the 16-50mm lens. I can easily put the camera and lens in my bag, which is why I like to take them with me when I travel, for example. When I am taking photos all day, I do not quickly suffer from a cramped neck. Thanks to the rubber grip on the camera, I hold it firmly. I do not have the feeling that it will quickly slip out of my hand. The ZV-E10 II has a larger battery than its predecessor. This makes the camera last longer. I think this is a big plus, especially because I travel a lot with my camera and I cannot always charge it. What I do miss is a viewfinder. Sometimes I prefer to take pictures via the viewfinder on sunny days, so that I don't have to deal with reflections.
Extensive video options
The camera has many different functions, with which I make professional video images. It has the well-known Product Showcase Setting from Sony. With this I easily make product reviews. If I keep an object in the frame, the camera focuses on it. Even if my face is still in the frame. For filming I choose from different color settings, including Gold, Forest and Ocean. If I choose ocean, my images look a bit bluer, while forest gives a green effect. This way I can easily give my videos a certain atmosphere. Are you more familiar with editing videos? Then you choose the flat color profile S-log 3 and edit the images completely yourself.
Good quality photos
Although the camera is mainly focused on videos, I find the photos I take sharp. It has the same 26 megapixel APS-C sensor as the Sony A6700. The images are detailed and have little noise. Even in locations with less light, such as indoors, the photos still look clear. Thanks to the fast and accurate autofocus, I am pretty sure that my photos are sharp. The camera immediately recognizes subjects such as people, animals and birds. The camera also has a number of creative, automatic settings for photos.
Easy operation
I think the camera has a number of handy buttons to switch between functions. You have to know where to find the buttons, but in the end it works very quickly. For example, I can easily switch between photo, video and slow motion recordings. With one push of a button I turn on the product showcase setting or choose a bokeh effect.
