The Marshall Major V is a compact, foldable headphone that I can easily take anywhere. The sound is balanced, so every song sounds natural. The headphones don't have noise canceling, which makes me more likely to get distracted by conversations in the office.
Balanced sound
The headphones deliver balanced sound because all tones are equally audible. No pitch stands out louder. This makes the music sound calm and natural, regardless of genre. I hear vocals clearly and distinctly, and the background music doesn't overpower me. I adjust the sound to my preference in the Marshall app. For example, I choose a stronger bass when listening to techno and house music. I find the sound slightly distorted because it seems to be coming from far away. This makes the sound less realistic and doesn't do the music full justice.
Convenient design
I fold both earcups inward, making the headphones very compact. This makes them easy to carry in my bag. The headphones sit securely on my head. It doesn't shift when I walk briskly or look down at my phone.
Easy to use
On the right earcup, there's a button that I use to fast-forward, pause, and adjust the volume. This feels natural, allowing me to quickly switch to the right song or adjust the volume. On the left earcup, there's an M button that I use to customize its function. For example, I can switch between equalizer modes, activate the voice assistant, or play a Spotify recommended song.
