With the AEG LR76CBC94 ProSteam UniversalDose, I spend less time ironing and wash energy efficiently. Thanks to the UniversalDose detergent drawer, my pods dissolve well, and my laundry comes out perfectly clean. The washing machine doesn't have a program that washes a half-full load in an hour.
First Impression
The first thing I notice about the washing machine is the black door. It contrasts well with the white of the washing machine, giving it a luxurious look. The handle feels sturdy, making it easy to open and close. The drum is spacious inside, giving me plenty of room for several days' worth of clothes. The black display also gives the washing machine a modern look. I can easily choose between the different programs with the dial. I download the three programs on the right via the app. However, I do miss a program that quickly and thoroughly cleans a half-full load.
Energy-Efficient Washing
With a family that enjoys sports and activities, I have a lot of laundry to do each week. I do a full load of laundry at least once a day. That's why I find it important to be energy-efficient. Fortunately, that's not a problem with this washing machine. Thanks to its A-energy rating, I save 20% on my energy costs. This way, I can even do laundry outside off-peak hours without using too much energy.
Fewer wrinkles thanks to steaming
I'll be honest: ironing isn't my favorite activity. That's why I'm very happy with the ProSteam steam function. I add it to my standard wash programs using the Plus Steam button. Once the washing machine has finished washing, it immediately starts steaming. This does add about half an hour to the cycle, but I'm happy to avoid ironing. When I take my clothes out afterward, I hardly see any wrinkles. I also use the steam function for clothes that aren't dirty but have a musty smell. The steam program then removes odors, leaving my favorite sweater smelling fresh again.
Detergent drawer for pods
A unique feature of this AEG washing machine is the detergent drawer. This AEG UniversalDose drawer also has a compartment for detergent pods. I place one or two detergent pods in the special compartment, depending on the amount of laundry and how dirty my clothes are. The display shows a specific button for pods. I press this before starting the wash so the washing machine knows I'm not using liquid detergent. The detergent drawer is a bit stiff at first.
