According to our headphones expert
The Philips SHP2000 is a lightweight over-ear pair of headphones that sits comfortably on your head. The headband and ear cups are fully adjustable ensuring these headphones always fit perfectly. The 40mm drivers provide you with a clear sound and solid bass and are located in a large design that encloses your entire ear. This means you're isolated from annoying ambient noise and can fully enjoy your own music. The Philips SHP2000 has an extra-long 2-meter cord which allows your true freedom of movement.

what can you say about headphones in this price range? feels soft, and certainly "sturdy enough". Sound quality is fine (dynamics, sufficient bass,...) 1 big disappointment, however: the volume is really not high enough a pity, but oh well, shouldn't we all protect our hearing better? :-) Price / quality I would say: do it

I was looking for a pair of headphones without spending too much money. I am very satisfied with this one. As we are used to from Coolblue, the package was delivered perfectly on time, neatly packed in a nice box with bubble plastic. Now about the headphones themselves :-) The sound is nice, I don't know much about sound and will not soon hear the difference between a 128kbps mp3 and a flac file, but the music sounds nice. After wearing it for a long time, it can hurt a bit at the top of your head, because there is no cushion or the like on the braces, so it is just hard plastic on your head. The ear cups, on the other hand, are comfy, at least better than with my previous headphones. They are still comfortable after a few hours of wear. One reason I chose these headphones was that they are over-ear, so there is hardly any sound bleed (= sound can be heard next to you when you listen to music with your headphones on) and the sound sounds very full. When music is playing you are also better closed off from the outside world, in silence you can still hear everything. Another small drawback I would like to mention is the cable. There is nothing wrong with that, but the cable splits and goes to both ears separately. Personally, I would have preferred the cable to go to one ear, and the sound for the other ear to continue through the bracket. But that is of course personal preference... An advantage in terms of cable is that a head piece was included to be able to plug the headphones into a professional system (6.5mm plug instead of 3.5mm).

I used to have a pair of headphones, but they broke very quickly on one side. I haven't had this one very long, but it lasts very well and I think the sound quality is very good for the price. The long wire is super handy. Some headphones have super short ones, which is really inconvenient when you use them with a cell phone. Those large ear cups are super comfortable and you are hardly bothered by external sound sources. Overall this is one of the best price/quality headphones.
