Consumer headphones with High End allures!
The opening sentence will make many audiophiles prance, I suspect. After two weeks of heavy use and compared to the B&W P5, B&W P3, Philips Fidelio M1BT (borrowed from nephew) and the Sennheiser Momentum On Ear (borrowed from another nephew) I can say that the Jabra Move Wireless delivers excellent results when wired is used, via Bluetooth connection I have mixed feelings.
First of all, I should like to mention that I was mainly looking for headphones that can offer a decent sound on bike rides via Bluetooth (finally freed from the wire connection) as well as at home wired or wireless (when working in and around the house) and that it stays on my head better (problem with the B&Ws).
My experiences are wired below:
The Jabra creates a wide soundstage, instruments are easy to place and the sound is very open without exaggeration in low tones, well defined foreground mids with a lot of definition and crisp clear sounding highs without going into exaggeration here, in short headphones that you can enjoy for hours without listening fatigue.
In the low segment, the Jabra performs less than the B&W P5, on the other hand, I find the high tones better defined with the Jabra. Compared to the B&W P3, I think the Jabra sounds even better in both low, mid and high. Lows have just that little bit more body, mids have more presence and are more prominent and the highs are clearly more sparkly and crisp with more definition. Compared to the Philips Fidelio, the Jabra sounds quieter, less obtrusive, the Fidelio is heavily turned on in the low segment, during long bike rides the bass became tiring to listen to, on the other hand, the Fidelio performs excellently in the middle and high segment . Jabra vs Sennheiser mixed feelings, depending on music genre. The Jabra is more of a very good all-rounder, where the Sennheiser shows its superiority in modern genres, rock and electronic music.
In short, the Jabra Move Wireless is less suitable for heavy bass lovers, more suitable for those who love classical, jazz, blues and quiet entertaining music.
I tried to compare Bluetooth with the Philips Fidelio, this test was stopped after a few tries because the Philips had problems maintaining connection and I think there was a defect in the data processing, with the regularity of the clock weakening my left earcup sound, this could be temporarily resolved by turning the volume all the way up on the headphones and lowering the volume slightly on the player, but this did not guarantee that the problem would not reoccur, sometimes the sound dropped completely to the left, so frustrating testing stopped. This problem occurred with two different bluetooth streamers (both with aptx support - bit disappointed because I wanted to compare aptx code with SBC codec) as well as with my smartphone Acer Liquid (no aptx support).
The Jabra puts in a solid performance with all the positives mentioned above (although slightly less), the manufacturer has delivered a very good implementation of the SBC codec here, sometimes I myself had the suspicion that I was listening to a high bitrate AAC However, I couldn't find a definitive answer anywhere whether the Jabra supports AAC streaming so it's just guesswork.
Just to mention that I use FiiO X3/X5 DAP with a bluetooth transmitter. Still, there are a few differences in wired versus wireless.
It strikes me that with bluetooth use, the low segment is more present. This is not necessarily a negative, for some this may itself be a plus. However, the soundstage is less open and I feel like I missed a portion in/of the stereo quality, I suspect due to a form of joint stereo that the SBC codec uses. When listening wirelessly via Acer Liquid, performance was less good, less clear details and soundstage, dynamics decreased enormously compared to the DAP players.
Conclusion :
Used devices :
The FiiO DAPÂs were used for wired use, the above-mentioned transmitters were linked to the FiiOs for bluetooth streaming. Listening to music via Acer Liquid was done with a direct connection, both wired and wireless.
This Jabra Move Wireless is in my opinion a little gem, I would definitely recommend it to music lovers.
Oh yes, forgot to mention that I am 57 years old and blessed with exceptionally good hearing for my age

These headphones look sleek. The connection with other devices is a breeze and the sound quality is very good. The only drawback is that the headphones quickly give the message battery low. About 1/3 of the battery.

Ordered these headphones after extensive tests and reviews. For the price there is no better and I dare say that much more expensive models do not sound better. His is light and the cushions sit well on your ears and do not hurt after long use. Stand by time is fine and charging is fast. Only downside, although it's not bad either, are the somewhat chunky control buttons.
