The Sennheiser Momentum 2.0 Wireless Over Ear Black are great headphones, which I enjoy and will enjoy every day. The user experience is great, partly due to the handy case that allows you to store cables. I would recommend these headphones to anyone who wants to get the most out of comfort, design and ease of use and is willing to pay for this total package.
-The pluses:
The headphones have a very nice timeless design, feel sturdy and can easily be worn for hours. The battery is very good (Sennheiser promises 22 hours of music time) and there is the option of wired listening when the battery is empty, so even if the battery is empty the music can continue. When you use this function, the headphones do not filter out the sound. He does this when the headphones have still charged the battery, and the experience is sublime. Disturbing ambient noise is filtered out, while the phone sits comfortably on the head and the audio quality is not compromised.
The headphones are neatly packed and come with a soft case in which they can be folded, furthermore there is a storage bag, so that is double protection against scratches and bumps. What I personally find very useful about the case is that I have my USB cable + audio cable in it. This way I always have the option to listen to music when the battery is empty, and I can charge the headphones via the laptop when it is (almost) empty.
Phone calls can be accepted and even declined via the headphones, of course the volume can be controlled via the headphones and is synchronized with the phone (if you turn the volume up, it also goes up on the phone and vice versa).
It is remarkable that it is not synchronized with a PC or laptop. Then the sound is ''separate'' from each other, and you can, for example, set the headphones to maximum sound and control the sound via the PC for ease of use (or vice versa depending on your preference).
Still, it is very nice to be able to have two Bluetooth devices connected at the same time. The Sennheiser can remember up to eight devices and run two devices simultaneously. For example, if you're listening to music on your phone and your laptop starts up, it connects directly to the laptop (after you've set it up the first time, of course). When you then listen to a video on YouTube via your laptop, the music on your phone stops, and you hear the sound of the laptop. When you stop the video again, the music continues where it left off. Very nice that no buttons have to be pressed and the headphones can simply remain on your head, this ensures a great user experience!
-The negatives:
The headphones are very pricey, which is a shame given the fact that you don't get a wall charger supplied. You only get a micro USB cable that you can plug into a computer or laptop as a USB. Fortunately, this cable is universal, and chances are that your smartphone can be charged via the same cable. In many cases, this still provides the option of charging the Sennheiser via the wall socket. Unfortunately, the future is probably USB-C; time will show how annoying it is to have a separate cable for the Sennheiser. Because the headphones are charged with micro USB instead of USB-C, it takes about 2 to 3 hours before they are completely full.
I would advise against exercising with these headphones; when you exercise outside and it starts to rain you have a problem because it is not waterproof. If you are looking for this, there are other options such as the Sennheiser travel or headphones or earphones from other manufacturers. The headphones are clearly aimed at people who travel or work in an environment with disruptive noise.
Furthermore, I found the ear cushion in the ear cups to feel a bit thin, time will tell if it is strong enough to last. The headphones come standard with a 2-year manufacturer's warranty. It's a Sennheiser, so I'm hopeful it will last a long time!
