We use the blender daily for smoothies and baby food and in both cases the blender needs a lot of help with grinding. We were not used to this from the previous one! You have to push the contents down up to five or six times; shaking the cup vigorously is not enough. And those five positions are negligible. The baby food becomes super liquid because you are mixing for minutes before everything has gone through the blades. The cleaning function is only the pre-rinse function; it really doesn't clean well. We have tried it in several ways. The cup is half full or completely full. With frozen products, milk and yogurt. With pre-cooked food such as potatoes and vegetables, a splash of water and a knob of butter. But nothing really went well.
