Let's start by saying that the Samsung Galaxy S8 is a luxury product. There are plenty of phones out there for less where the key specs match the Galaxy S8. However, that does not take away from the fact that the Galaxy S8 is a fantastic phone.

The phone feels very nice in the hand and the finish on the glass makes the phone feel very luxurious.

The Galaxy S8 has a different screen ratio, which means that the screen is a lot longer compared to other phones compared to the width. This means that you have more screen space, but also that some apps, games and videos are not displayed properly because they are simply not made for this.

Samsung has built in an option for this to indicate per app whether it should use the full screen or keep the "standard" 16:9 ratio. So if an app doesn't function properly due to the new screen ratio, you can simply force the app to work in "standard" mode. You will then have a black bar below/above the app, but it does work properly. 90% of the apps and games in my case work great on this screen though.
