Bought this because my Dell ultrabook only has USB-C ports and was looking for a USB hub without cables.
Clicks nicely on your laptop without cables and that's why I went for the Hyper Solo.
You can hang it on the left and then it hangs nicely parallel to your laptop, but then you lose a USB-C port because the hub covers 2 ports. You also go to the right and then you don't lose a gate, but then it hangs a little less firmly (see photos).
The biggest drawback is that, at least for my laptop, it doesn't provide enough power; you plug the hub into the USB-C power port and then you plug your power adapter into the hub, but with me the laptop then indicates that too little power is being supplied. Fortunately, there is power, but the laptop is then charged a lot slower.
For that price I expected more...
