This headset consists of replaceable parts, which makes it last a long time. Thanks to the flexible design and the memory foam, the headphone forms to your head. In combination with the soft ear cushions you listen to music comfortably for hours. With the built-in microphone you call hands-free. When you have finished listening, store the headphones in the included hard case. That way you can easily take it anywhere.

By owning a Perfectpro Soloworker with a headphone connection with a truly beautiful sound reproduction – considerably more beautiful than the speaker – it seemed time to also look for a good Over Ear headphone. Specific for home use. I am not a TV viewer and therefore also listen to music via my laptop in the room with a fiiO Olympus 2 dac. My inexpensive but very good-sounding foldable Sennheiser px-100-II, which scored very well at the time and rightly so at What Hifi, with fairly small On Ear ear cups - can then travel with me. In connection with the purchase of an Audisse Shirudo Wifi Internet radio, after reading all Coolblue reviews, among other things, I also came into contact with Emiel with his non-commercial site www.uniqueradio.nl, who had extensively tested and described the Shirudo. It turned out that Emiel also had good experiences with Meze Headphones and has the Classic in his possession. He has written an extensive review about this on his site. He has also tested and described the Meze Neo 99 as positive, see www.uniqueradio.nl/index.php/2017/07/hoofdtelefoon-meze-99-neo-modern-en-klassiek- simultaneously/ All Meze Headphones are also in the program at Coolblue, but strangely, nobody has written a review about them so far. After extensive reading of user experiences elsewhere on the world wide web, the choice was not easy. Overnight I saw that Coolblue had significantly reduced the price of the Sennheiser HD599, which was just as expensive as the Meze Neo, and that it has good reviews. The Audio Technica ATH 50X scores well as does the Technica Beyerdynamic 770 with 984 reviews at Amazon in Germany. As Emiel describes, the sound of the Meze is colored and perhaps because of that it does not score equally well in reviews. Some of you will say that you should listen to headphones before buying one. My personal experience is that I can't do that in half an hour. After reading Meze Neo 99 reviews at www.head-fi.org/showcase/meze-99-neo.22329/reviews?page=2 (4 pages) and the look of the Meze Neo 99 compared to the Beyerdynamic, After much deliberation, I decided to order the Meze Neo 99 from Coolblue. Given the perfect service of course at Coolblue. Upon receipt, you immediately notice the beautiful looking box, which it is in. A good travel bag is also included, which is missing from most Sennheisers. As already written I need a bit longer time to come to a sound judgment. The first impression is that the Meze Neo sounds beautiful. It also sits comfortably on your head. It also works fine on the iPhone. It turns out that the Meze does not work on my Perfectpro Soloworker. Emiel pointed out to me that the Sennheiser pc100-II is probably a 3 pin jack and the Meze Neo a 4 pin. That's right, so bought an adapter plug. What struck me is that the stock of the Meze Neo at Coolblue ran out at some point. After about 6 days I received a message that it was back in. When I ordered it on Thursday there were still 5 in stock, on Sunday there was still 1 and on Monday nothing left in stock. Apparently there is quite a lot of interest in the Neo. Reason for me to write a review.

At the beginning of listening you notice that the headphones still need to be played in. You can hear that the middle tones are a bit flat in the beginning. That it has to "play in" gives me a good feeling of quality and after a few hours it is already very pleasant to listen to.
No regrets so far, just that I had previously bought a more expensive Bose that doesn't come close to the frequency range and unboxing experience I have now.
The wide headband is a bit stiff and because of the elastic band there is a bit of pressure on your head. I am bald, and only experience a bit of pressure, for people with styled hair this can be an issue.
Still an overall good because the music experience gets a new dimension.
