Very happy with the phone after about 3 weeks of use.
Camera: The camera can be called very good, takes very nice pictures in sufficient light. It is nice that the photos are not sharpened so aggressively, but are rather soft and this can also be set before using the camera. in lower light the pictures are still acceptable. The selfie camera takes really ridiculously sharp pictures.
The display is easy to read even in a lot of light and because it is amoled it doesn't use too much power when you use it.
I can't judge the sound because I always use a dragonfly red usb dac and it works great with the Xiaomi mi 8.
Battery life is good and easily lasts a day and a half, even if it is used a lot. Loading is also very smooth.
Phone speed is great. I come from an Honor 9 and it was smooth enough but this one is significantly faster.
Themes...currently it is not possible to download and set themes. But..... if you change the region to India in the phone then it is suddenly possible, so first download the themes you want and install one by one and if you then change the region back to the Netherlands, the themes are to adjust :-)
