The Synology 8GB DDR4 DIMM ECC 2666MHz (1x 8GB), or D4EC-2666-8G, is designed for selected Synology RackStations. This allows you to increase or replace the internal memory of your NAS with 16GB. The RAM has an Error Correction Code (ECC) chip that recognizes and fixes any errors with regards to memory. It's mainly useful in servers and workstations.
