I repeated the process four or five times. Then I finally got it working and it kept stopping with the time machine back up multiple times, as the USB-C was extremely sensitive. After multiple times of not being able to conclude the time machine backup, I tried to reformat it, and that did not work at all. Finally, after trying many many times with formatting, backing up, and starting again, I gave up. I looked up what was closest Cool Blue store and I brought the hard disk back. The service department there confirmed that there were many problems with this hard disk WD my passport Ultra and suggested another device. However, that device was not available now. The service person asked me if I would like a refund or an alternative device, which she suggested.
