I certainly do not think this is a bad device, the individual parts such as screen, cameras, fingerprint scanner and more all seem fine. Many users seem to prefer versions of the S22 with the Qualcomm Snapdragon soc, as supplied in most of the world, over the Exynos version, available in Europe and (I think) South Korea.
That Exynos would be a bit slower, in benchmarks at least. What bothers me most is the erratic performance behavior, the lack of consistency or continuity in performance. One minute the S22 is running super smooth, 2 minutes later you're annoyed by stuttering scrolling in a simple web page, turning off the dark mode that apparently lasts for several seconds or the fingerprint scanner that takes 3 to 4 attempts to register your finger .... I'm not a heavy user and have features like bluetooth, location, customizable screen refresh disabled by default. All apps and android software are also up to date. After years of being an Apple user, I still find this a strange experience: simple operations that apparently still pose a problem.... in 2022.
